I started restoring this 100yo typewriter in November. I took it down to the frame, removed the crackled varnish with q-tips and rubbing compound, cleaned, degreased, polished and/or replaced every part and had all of the rubber and the platen redone at J.J. Short. I’d like to restore the decals at some point. Works and types beautifully. Well over 100 hours of work.
